ABOUT NODUS
Practical experience.
Clear thinking.
Better systems.
NODUS is a boutique advisory brand focused on three areas that often intersect — careers, people, and operations.
The idea is simple: when positioning, responsibilities, and systems are clearer, people and organizations can make better decisions and execute what matters more effectively.

THE HR & OPERATIONS PERSPECTIVE
People and systems do not operate separately.
Throughout his career, Mario Jolić has worked in roles where people, leadership, and day-to-day operations cannot be viewed separately. His experience in HR, operations leadership, and working with large teams has shaped the way he approaches individual professional development and organizational challenges.
Within human resources, his work has included team planning, recruitment, selection, and onboarding; HR procedures and internal policies; performance processes; employee experience; and retention. Employee conversations, entry and exit analyses, and HR metrics helped him identify why people join, stay, or leave — and what an organization can change in practical terms.
His operational experience enables him to view the same questions beyond the HR function. He has led large, diverse teams, organized work across dozens of locations, developed SOPs and internal procedures, and managed complex projects from planning through execution. That work shows where a well-designed process meets operational reality — and why some systems work while others remain documents.
For professionals
Many capable professionals perform well but are not accustomed to turning their experience into clear examples, results, and evidence that a prospective employer can understand. Their value can remain hidden behind broad descriptions of responsibilities or a professional narrative disconnected from the role they want.
Mario does not begin with a CV template. He first understands what the person actually did, which problems they solved, and what changed because of their work. He then considers that experience from the perspective of a recruiter, hiring manager, and operational leader. The same principle applies to LinkedIn and interview preparation: the aim is an accurate, relevant professional story, not a rehearsed answer.
For companies
When working with companies, Mario begins with how the organization actually operates: who makes decisions, where accountability is unclear, which processes depend on individuals, how new employees are onboarded, and whether management has the information required to lead effectively.
Unclear roles, inconsistent onboarding, rising turnover, and overloaded managers are often not separate problems. They may indicate that the organization has outgrown the system currently supporting it.
Advisory work therefore begins by understanding the cause, not by adding procedures. The result should be clearer accountability, practical SOPs, relevant KPIs, and systems people can actually use — not more documentation.
NODUS grew from this way of working. On one side is the professional who wants their experience to be properly understood. On the other is the company that needs clearer roles, responsibilities, and systems. In both cases, the first step is the same: understand what is actually happening, define the problem clearly, and only then decide what needs to change.
PRINCIPLES
How NODUS thinks.
Clarity before activity.
First understand what actually needs to be solved.
Evidence before assumptions.
Base decisions on information, results, and real behavior.
Structure without bureaucracy.
A system should simplify work, not slow it down.
Positioning without exaggeration.
Communicate value clearly without inventing it.
Progress over perfection.
A strong next move is more valuable than endless planning.
